What we do in the
IT & Digital Team
Technology is changing at an ever-increasing pace. Our use of public cloud-based technology already gives us profound new ways of analysing data; and data sciences are already leading to huge new insights for our force.
Our vision as a team is to give everyone the best possible technology experience, from the 8,100 police officers and 4,500 staff, who are working across 11 stations and in local communities, to our partners that rely on our support and data to drive safeguarding, investigations and crime prevention, and 2.9 million members of the public who want to engage with us in new ways, through a channel and at a time that suits them.

need to do to apply?
We’ve tried to keep our application process as simple as possible. Here are the stages you can expect to experience:
Application

Technical test
If you pass our screening then you will be asked to complete a technical test. Following this, you will be invited to join us for a formal interview about your aspirations and where we see you best fitting.
Vetting
We all have to be vetted as we safeguard our local communities so please make sure you answer all questions truthfully as it's an automatic failure if you omit something that was later uncovered.
Offer
If you successfully complete the above, then you can expect an offer from your hiring manager, and we will contact you to discuss onboarding and welcome you to the team. This process could take up to 3 months.
